A new gadget.. A new skill

The gadget was not mine but I had the opportunity to test its power tonight. Result marvellous..yummilicious..I like! Thank you to the loyal model.

Liverpool Kalah :(

I am not their supporter, was supporting them for a while for a reason but no more. Yet, I still feel sad that they didn't win the 2007 European Cup. They lost 1-2 to AC Milan last night. Funnily enough I am not even a real football fan. I just happen to watch the game and I think they deserved to win. In my humble opinion, they had better possession, play beautiful football and in short, the better team in last night's match. But I guess, that is football. "Bola itu bulat".

All in all, last night's match was by far the most entertaining match I've watched compared to the UEFA Cup Finals and the FA cup finals.

p/s: I apologise to all AC Milan's fans out there and also the Liverpools die hard 'anti-fans' if this entry come across as offensive to them.

Just Another day in Glasgow

For me at least but not for the city of Glasgow. Reason being, the city will be playing host to the UEFA Cup Finals tomorrow, 16 May 2007 at Hampden Park Stadium. We were thinking of going and witness the game with our own eyes until we saw the ridiculous ticket prices.. a definite no no! So, then we decided to just watch it on the idiot box, that is if it is on the national tv. In the mean time, life goes on as usual.

As for me, work for my thesis has started and my first progress meeting is in two days time. Unfortunately, I have not been covering as much materials as i hope to. Somewhow I kept falling asleep when reading them or get distracted. A big one today was when I was busy reading the materials when an 'evil' phone call came. "Jom keluar jalan-jalan!". Unconciously, I replied, "Jom!" with a big grin on my face Hey, I deserve a break after 3 days of quarantine-ing myself.

First stop was Best Kebab.. mixed doner please! almost a reflex upon entering the shop. Sedap i cakap u. Dah makan kena la ada dessert. Jalan punya jalan end up kat Thornton's ice cream. Apa lagi double scoop satu. Pastu didn't really know where to head to. But while enjoying the treat and borak-borak suddenly, 'eh, tu players Sevilla!' . When i turned around, Fairuz is already missing! grrr i was abandoned for the not handsome players? &%^$(^&.

Then I found him gawking at this guy. 'Amikkan gambar I ngan dia'. Ok, whatever. After that he told me that he was the top scorer for Spanish la liga. Oh yer ker? Apa lagi. Must never miss out on a chance to take photo with guiness book of records material. So, I pun tanpa segan silu amik gambar with Mr Kanoute and this time Fairuz was kind enough to be the cameraman..hehehe

p/s: Without having to use 10x optical zoom..hehehe jgn mare!!

Easy Life

If you need something done, ask someone else to do it. But if you need it done the right way, always do it yourself. Life would be much easier that way :).

Individual Dissertation

For those who are wondering whether I went for the Bryan Adams concert, I didn't. Firstly, £35 for Bryan Adams is too expensive for a student like me. But, more importantly, I have my first meeting with my individual dissertation supervisor this morning at 10.30 am! I think it was safer for me to pass the concert, went to bed early and be on time for the first meeting. First impression is very important in my opinion.

I arrived 5 minutes before the scheduled time and the meeting went quite well. I am suppose to continue a project done by a student last year. The project sounds interesting. The supervisors seem supportive enough but the previous student did an excellent job and left quite an impression on them. As a result, they have very high expectations of me. Additional pressure that I simply don't need. As usual, my first instinct is to chicken out and ask for another project. But, I think i'll stay and face the challenge this time. It's high time for me to grow up, little by little, bit by bit.

Brian Adams' Concert

Someone offered me a Brian Adams' Concert ticket for tonight. Nope not for free. The original price is for £35 and she is willing to give me a discount and ask how much am I willing to buy it for. Frankly, at most I am willing to spend is £10, £5 is more like it. But if I were to say that, would it be an insult to Mr Adams? After all he is quite a big name, or was I'm not sure. I don't really know his songs anyway. Let me search my little memory now and see what I can find of Bryan Adams.

In Need Of IT HELP

Things that I do when I dont really have anything to do really amazes me. Today I have managed to make my user account (spdaeni) disappear from my laptop and now I can't access my account and have to go to spdaeni's documents through the administrator account. How sad. Let me tell you how it all happened and hopefully one of my faithful reader will turn out to be an IT wizard and save me from my misery.

Tonight, I was trying to share my picture folders with my coursemate who lives in the same hall of residence as me. She said she could see the folder but could not access it. Permission problem. Fair enough. But then, she also said she could see some other folders in My Documents which does not belong to the spdaeni documents. Hmm must be the domain problem I said to myself. So i went to the control panel page and then clicked on system and click on netword id and changed the settings. Now i cannot access the spdaeni account...HELP!!!! I need my user account back!

Quoted from cerita CINTA. Somehow that movie always manage to make me cry buckets (as it did again today)! And that song, 'Perpisahan' always does it for me everytime. I really like Anuar Zain's voice and songs except for the first one, Bila Resah. Oops digressing. Just want to say that I agree with that statement.

Canon in D

This morning I started somewhat differently. I woke up to the sound of Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel, something that I have not done for a very long time. Almost two years now actually. I think it is a sad song but I find it soothing. Actually, I could not sleep last night (must have been because of the excessive rest I have been giving myself these past few days). So I decided to give my laptop a spring clean. That was when I found the piece. It is hidden in some folder that was meant to be forgotten. Listening to the song gave me peace and slowly it lulled me to sleep.

This piece and I go way back. I use to listen to it everyday. Back then it was a reminder of what I want in life and where my life was leading to. But, plans change and now I live day by day without a clear objective and destination, instead, only hoping for the best. The scary bit is however that I am not scared of not having a plan.
